About Flipps app
editAfter doing some research, I learned that the Flipps app co-existed with FITE until the former was discontinued sometime between 2016 (the year of FITE's launch) and 2017.
A news bulletin for TNA's Knockouts Knockdown 2016 that confirmed the event was distributed on both Flipps and FITE.[1] At the end of official press releases for FITE throughout 2016, there are "About X" sections for both FITE and Flipps Media, the latter advertising its own app (The Flipps mobile application is free and available on iTunes and Google Play.)[2]
However, the "Kosta Jordanov" press release in December of that year makes no mention of the app in the "About Flipps Media" section[3], and by the time of the press release celebrating FITE's one year anniversary in Feb 2017[4], Flipps Media was only mentioned as FITE's parent company.
The app itself might have been discontinued after either August 11, 2016 or December 27, 2018, but that information was based on app version history listed on a APK download website (which I don't think I'm allowed to cite due to "legal" issues). I wasn't able to find any official announcement or news source to verify.
Based on all of the above, one can assume the Flipps app was quietly shut down, with all sports content moving to FITE. Thecleanerand (talk) 01:17, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
