Problem with article

edit

This article seems to be going in the wrong direction. Trolli is a brand of confectionary owned by the Mederer Corporation (MEDERER Süßwarenvertriebs GmbH), it doesnt seem to be a company in its own right. This brand is licensed in the United States. So really the company information should be on a Mederer Corporation article and this page should revert to just being about the brand. Thoughts? Salavat (talk) 07:00, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, well with all due respect, Trolli is perhaps not a company in its own right here in Germany and worldwide (the Trolli still owned by Mederer), but neither is the Trolli in the US. If they have the right to post an article concerning Trolli still owned by Farley & Sathers in the US, I dont see why it is a problem for us to be able to do so as well. Also Trolli (and the article) which I have created or edited lets say, is not the first brand or 'product' to be posted as an article on wikipedia. Take for example Twix. I see your concern, but it is also important to understand our point of view that essentially Trolli does not only belong (the name) to Trolli Corporation in the US but also to the Mederer Group around the world. I have not 'discarded' previous informtion from the Trolli article, I have simply upgraded it. And concerning my position with Trolli, I feel as though I am well suited to give an objective yet detailed and informative perspective about the company, its history and its development. Thanks for the interest though! Any more thoughts? Maylu Maylu24 (talk) 07:39, 29 July 2010 (UTC) 30, July 2010Reply

+++ALso I wanted to add, I am horrible with computers and you seem to be good at this whole image and pictures on wikipedia thing... I know I will have to add sources and the copyright information to all of my pictures but can you please tell me which one I would have to pick if I am a part of the Marketing and Production Management team of Trolli Mederer here in Fürth... Which means, we make the logos, and have every right to use them... Weird to explain, but let me know what you think. Also one more question, I cant seem to insert pictures to the right hand side of the texts... only underneath them to the left hand side... and they are always 'picture galleries' ... How do i get single images on the right hand side? Thanks so much for the help ! Maylu24 (talk) 07:48, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Maylu 30, July 2010Reply

Right well based on your comments ill let you edit the article the way you see fit. I still think that it should be structered around the brand and the company but you seem to no more then me.
In regards to the images to get them to align to the right instead of a gallery you would use [[File:Herbert & willi.jpg|thumb|200px|Herbert (left) and Willi Mederer (right)]], with the size being up to you. Alternatively if you want it to align to the left you would add |left to the code.
In regards to your image copyright status, you claim that Mederer Group has given you permission which is fine but you need to prove that you have been given the permission. Read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission in finding out how to prove permission has been granted. Basically its you getting the Mederer Group to send an email to Wikimedia's OTRS group for confirmation but im not 100% clued on how that all works. Also you will need to find a suitable copyright tag to place on the image otherwise it will be deleted. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/All for a list of tags to find the most suitable (you will still need to provide evidence of permission though in the future). Probably the most relavent to you is {{PD-author}} but have a look and decide. Salavat (talk) 08:21, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
