The main body of the article is great but there are a few things in the lead which can be added and an image (if possible) would be good too.
"The twelfth named storm of the 2006 Pacific hurricane season, Norman developed on October 9 from a tropical wave. " It seems like you didn't finish the sentence, saying where the storm was located would fix that up.
