Troy Beyer or Troy Byer?
editPlease note that the subject's name is spelled both "Troy Beyer" and "Troy Byer" in this article.
I've Googled both and find it impossible to determine which is the proper spelling of the subject's last name. Since I'm uncertain how to resolve this dilemma I've posted here in the hope that Wikipedia will know how to proceed. --208.237.178.229 (talk) 13:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Dick Hartzell
- Troy Beyer is her given name, though an alternative name is Byer. Arenlor (talk) 03:32, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- She seems to be credited on screen as Beyer in her earlier roles (as seen in the Different World episode "The Gift of the Magi" [1]) and on magazine covers (posted by herself [2]), but her recent books credit her as Byer [3]. Would take some more digging, but it's possible she switched from Beyer to Byer when she earned her doctorate. —scarecroe (talk) 13:30, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Caucasian Jew?
editI find that term extremely offensive, as it was last used a little before the Cold War began. I say get rid of it. Arenlor (talk) 03:33, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
