WOW! This article really hits the spot. I have been searching everywhere looking for answers to what true love is and really only needed the reassurance that true love waits, and in more than one way! God is the only one who will know a persons true love, until that person meets their true love. Patience is the answer to everything. I know this yet don't want to follow my own advice.

Meanwhile, millions of people enjoy sex before marriage, continue to have successful marriages, and laugh heartily at the silly sky god worshippers.

"Laugh heartily at the silly sky god worshippers." True Love waits is an admirable organization and I happen to be a pledgee myself. And one more thing, there is no atheist at death. Jesus loves you and died for the very people that rejected Him. I hope you have a change of heart, Jesus will forgive you of your sins. God Bless

its a celebration of ignorancy more than anything, both cases, but since this one is actually founded, i find it to be more ignorant than the rest, historically of course, it makes no sense. Their mission of preventing teenage pregnancy and stds is something to look up to, yet, unrealistic in my opinnion.

Irrelevant information

History section

I stripped the whole history section because it was a regurgitation of the History section of the TLW webiste. Worse, the later items in the section were direct copies of the website—and thus copyright violations. —C.Fred (talk) 05:23, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

I paraphrased the history section from TLW website. I did not directly copy the later items. I changed words and put it in my own words. I'm afraid you did not do enough. There was still way too much direct copying, and simply paraphrasing word for word is just as bad. An encyclopedia article is not the place to copy a detailed timeline from the official webpage, or a place to copy press releases. Please try to summarize and be concise (and use your own words). It also may help if you try to seek sources that are completely independent from the organization. The seciton on Africa is from multiple sources and is put into my own words. I did extensive research and added my information from multiple sources so that the history seciton was not just a rehash of ideas. I do not appreciate you deleting the whole history seciton. It was not all a rehash of ideas as I drew from multiple sources.

I don't believe you understand how serious we take copyright violations here on Wikipedia. I rechecked the Africa section, and it still was problematic. You may have used multiple sources, but you used them verbatim in far too many places. Also, your blanket revert restored unsourced criticism which I had also blanked, and the long history section which you haven't defended here on talk. If your only concern was the Africa section, then you should have just restored that one section. Please be more careful in the future if and when you revert (that said, the Africa section has too many verbatim phrases lifted without quotation from the sources). If you are going to work up this article, which I encourage, please try harder to not copy content from the web. Summarize, use your own words. Critisism

I have removed the following: "The program was specifically criticized in the 2004 documentary, The Education of Shelby Knox, which dealt with a high school student's efforts to bring comprehensive sex education curricula to her Lubbock, Texas high school. Knox, who led the efforts to change her school district's policy, had taken a vow of purity through the True Love Waits program.

Feminist critics have cited the program as part of a rightwing attack on sex education in public schools." as it is unsourced, and unclear. A person in a documentary took the vow. How is that a critisism? the second part is clearly a violation of WP:WEASEL, and I think it's a stretch to say that it's an attack on sex education, since the program has nothing to do with sex education. Anyway, if people want to reword these critisisms so that they make sense and find sources, feel free to put them back. Millermk90 (talk) 08:34, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
