I think the English translation for Tu vuò fà l'americano may be wrong, but I don't speak much Italian. Something just seems odd.--128.54.238.26 (talk) 17:46, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I' m Italian, the translation is not accurate. Form neapolitan to italian it is "tu vuoi fare l' americano" that literally translate to "you wanna make the american" meaning "you are an american wannabe" or "you wanna do the american" or "you act like an american" (but you' re not). The meaning of "fare" (do or make) is "to act like" and I don' t know if in English it is correct or understandable to say "you wanna make (do) the american" because this is the most accurate translation. I was wondering about that. It didn't make any sense when I ran it through Google Translate. --Nosehair2200 (talk) 21:55, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Tu Vuò Fà L'AmericanoTu vuò fà l'americano – return to the article's original title per WP:MOSMUSIC ("For non-classical foreign-language recordings, usage of capitalization found in English-language reliable sources is recommended, but when such sources use different capitalizations there is some leaning towards the capitalization rules valid for the language of the creator.") Sources are mixed but lean toward Italian lowercase. cf. others in Category:Italian songs. —  AjaxSmack  03:31, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
