A fact from Tubulanus polymorphus appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 14 September 2017 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the red colour of the ribbon worm Tubulanus polymorphus may warn predators that it is toxic or unpalatable?
Tubulanus polymorphus is within the scope of WikiProject Animals, an attempt to better organize information in articles related to animals and zoology. For more information, visit the project page.AnimalsWikipedia:WikiProject AnimalsTemplate:WikiProject Animalsanimal articles
This article is within the scope of WikiProject Marine life, a project which is currently considered to be inactive.Marine lifeWikipedia:WikiProject Marine lifeTemplate:WikiProject Marine lifeMarine life articles
The last sentence of the first paragraph under “Ecology” says “The females lay eggs which are fertilised externally and develop directly into juvenile ragworms.”
This is the only appearance of the term “ragworm” in the article, and it is probably wrong, since this article and the one on ragworms (Nereididae) indicate different families.
