Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition
editDid the 1955-1958 Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition use Tucker Sno-Cats? Descriptions are vague and the spelling varies between Snow-Cat and Sno-Cat. --jmb 00:21, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Snow Cat is the generic name given to all snow going machines. Sno-Cat is the specific name for Tucker corporations' snow travelling vehicles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.205.230.162 (talk) 21:54, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Sno-Cat → Tucker Sno-Cat – This page talks only about Tucker Sno-Cats, yet it has the generic Sno-Cat name. The title should be changed in order to have less confusion and a more specific page. END
It appears Sno-Cat is a trade name for the Tucker vehicles, Snowcat is the page for the generic types. It may be that the Snocat redirect for this page needs to be moved to Snowcat? Mighty Antar (talk) 20:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC) I've added hatnotes with redirects to both pages. Mighty Antar (talk) 21:55, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support. There are 470,000 google hits for Sno-Cat, and 396,000 for Tucker Sno-Cat. A search for "Sno-Cat" -"Tucker Sno-Cat" gives 93,000 hits. But definitely leave Snocat as a redirect to Tucker Sno-Cat. Apteva (talk) 08:07, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Company and Founder
editThis page is mostly a page about the Sno-Cat vehicle, but is also sort of a page about the company (as in the category "Companies Headquartered in Oregon"). However, it says more about competing companies such as Bombardier than it does about Tucker. Also, it says nothing about Emmett Tucker himself -- not even his name. Either these should be linked, or coverage should be expanded on this page.Darkstar8799 (talk) 21:19, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
- Good idea. I was actually wondering if there was any affiliation between this company and the short-lived automobile company founded by Preston Tucker in the late-1940's. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:54, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
