The term magical emanation
editAccording to Trinley Kalsang: "In his introduction to the be bum, Lobsang Tamdin writes that Dorje Shugden is a magical emanation of Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen’s three enlightened secrets (gsang gsum)." The term three enlightened secrets means something like the Three Vajras. At least it is written on that wikisite.
Some writing on Magical emanations: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], Tulpa.

Bad sources
editWay too much of this article relies on non-academic sources. Websites of religious organizations are not valid sources for an encyclopedia article. As a result, there's a lot of cleanup that needs to be done to either (a) replace the references with ones that meet encyclopedia standards; and/or (b) remove the text that comes from these sources altogether if it cannot be validated by proper sources. - @Joechip123: The TBRC database is a good source - which is used by every academic in the field of Tibetan Studies and is hosted at Harvard. Despite the name the Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center is not a religious organization but the foremost digital library of Tibetan texts. Their database contains well researched details on almost every Tibetan author. Drefyus, Samten Karmay, E. Gene Smith, Schaeffer and McCune are also good academic sources. Don't know about the rest. - @CFynn: Hi CFynn. This page seems to have been substantially cleaned up since I posted that comment two years ago, so my complaint isn't relevant anymore. Yay! I have no issues with TBRC, quite the opposite as I use it regularly myself :) Joechip123 (talk) 06:07, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
