Talk:Turbo Esprit
(sorry, posted on the wrong game named Turbo Esprit)
Vandalism from Halsteadk
editGive it a rest man. When a location is named onscreen, then no further reference is required. There are screenshots and videos all over the place, with the town maps and menus, this is beyond dispute. When a place is fictitious (such as Gamesborough) then it is not linked, but when it's a real place, and is unambiguous (like Romford) then it is linked. Turbo Esprit contains both real and fictional places. Do we really need to explain at Chequered Flag (video game) that Silverstone is really Silverstone? Do we need a source for that too? I thought not. So if you think it's all some big coincidence that a British company would name a town, with a name that just so happens to be one of the biggest and most crime-ridden towns in Britain, and they would not realise, then that's up to you, but leave the article alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.191.160.108 (talk) 12:30, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not taking a stance here but I'd like to say that 1. You go a little too far to call Halsteadk's edits vandalism, and 2. Do not edit war, take it to the talk page sooner or contact the user on his own talk page. Conversations are difficult to have when people are reverting edits all of the time and are talking just through edit summaries. Thanks, TheStickMan[✆Talk] 18:41, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- 86.191, my edits are *not* WP:VANDALISM, and I have already pointed out to you that there are 4 places called Wellington in the UK alone. Link Romford if it makes you happy and think it is even slightly useful to readers to go to an article about a place that happens to share the same name, I've got better things to do with my life.
