Major change in article

New user User:Ellen.goleas just did huge changes to the article. I checked for copyright violations and things seem okay, but when I see sweeping changes from new users I sometimes have doubts so I tagged this article as copypaste. I see that this user is a student doing a class project for a teacher named User:Joegrohens, so I assume that this person also will review the article.

If everything is original work then this is a great improvement to the article. It still needs reliable sources because some of these pet websites themselves may not meet WP:RS. Blue Rasberry (talk) 07:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Bluerasberry -- This is Ellen, I am the student that wrote the Turkish Hamster article. I'm sorry if it seems that I copy-pasted -- I did not copy-paste. I found several sources about the Turkish Hamster and wrote the article on my own, outside of Wikipedia. I uploaded it all at once, instead of uploading it over time. I carefully paraphrased the sources that I used, and I did make sure to cite them at the end. I also found a photo of a Turkish Hamster online, and I contacted the photographer via email. She approved my use of the photo for the page, but I see that it has been removed. I'm sorry that this has become a problem, but I assure you that I did not copy-paste from any source; I just did a lot of reading and made sure to document my findings. --Ellen.goleas —Preceding undated comment added 21:51, 25 April 2011 (UTC).

Re deleted image - afaik to use an "approved" image, there's some protocol about having the approval in evidence somewhere or it's considered just say-so & results in a delete. You might like to ask the photographer to do this after you find out what's involved. My only question is that since other hamster articles describe them as "crepuscular", and that "nocturnal" is erroneous, did you check which it is in this article?
