Named after who?

After whom is this place named ? Jay 07:05, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- According to The Names of Maine by Brian McCauley (Acadia Press, 2004), Turner is named after a Reverend Charles Turner, orginally of Duxbury, Massaschusetts, who was associated somehow with the proprietors of what is now the town of Turner, and eventually settled in the area.
