Beautiful article :) Sad it had to wait so long. I will post my comments soon. Cheers, Sainsf (talk · contribs) 21:07, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- It has a maximum depth of 0.6 metres (2 ft 0 in) Can the inch parameter be omitted?
- Attempted a fix. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Translated titles (the 'trans-title' parameter) should be added to all citations with non-English titles
- Added. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- The first para of "The lake" has a very long sentence. Could flow better if it is broken into a few shorter lines
- Split in two. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- at times Tuyajto Lake is almost empty and then salts such as gypsum and halite can be seen on the edges of Tuyajto Lake Sounds better if you say "at times Tuyajto Lake is almost empty, and salts such as gypsum and halite can be seen on the edges"
- Implemented this. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- the local flora and fauna depend on the water supply to the lake What does "water supply to the lake" mean? Is it to say the local flora and fauna depends on the lake for water?
- On the groundwater discharged to the lake. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- 13,800 - 9,100 calibrated radiocarbon years ago or 12,800 - 10,300 years ago ... 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi)-18 square kilometres (7 sq mi) Use endashes not hyphens (There are a few more instances in Climate and Human use)
- Unless you wish to exclusively discuss the geological history of the lake in the 2nd para, the info about the earlier dimensions of the lake should probably be in the 1st para. The part at times Tuyajto Lake is almost empty ... separates Tuyajto Lake from Lejía Lake probably goes better in the 2nd para along with the info on shorelines and deltas.
- Yeah, the idea is to discuss geological history there - today's fluctuations are small fry compared to the mega fluctuations at the age of Lake Tauca. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Watershed should probably be linked (Hydrology) Aren't moisture, agriculture, mining and tourism too common to be linked? (Climate, Human use)
- Linked watershed, I think "moisture" is a bit technical here and uncertain on the others. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Evaporation is about 10–7.5 times larger Should it not be 7.5–10?
- Yes, changed. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Date formats in citations could be more uniform; like either just the year or just month and year or the full date
- Author names are in all caps in ref. 10, same for the title in ref. 30
- Duplicate links: Evaporation (Hydrology), before present (Human use)
That's all from me. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 14:48, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Sains:Think I got everything. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Everything looks sorted, just two things: the "watershed" link is a dablink and two journal articles should have just the year and not the full date for consistency. I think we will be done then. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 13:04, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Sainsf: I think I got these. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 13:29, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Great work. I believe the article meets all the necessary criteria to be a GA. Happy to promote :) Sainsf (talk · contribs) 13:43, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
