What tweens talk about

edit

There is no citation for the section "What tweens talk about" and it is stereotypical and doesn't belong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.116.204.24 (talk) 03:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Generation X

edit

I removed the info about tweens in 2010 being part of Generation X, or (even more laughably) the Baby Boomers, because it is completely incorrect information. Wikipedia's own definition of Generation X places even its youngest members at no less than 26 years old, and that's being very generous. The vast majority of Generation X members are in their 30s, i.e., nowhere close to "tween" status. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.124.202.170 (talk) 20:03, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Age 2 or 3

edit

According to the article's ages and school grade citations tweens start school at age 2 or 3, either that or the user who added this information cannot count. Corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.10.184.174 (talk) 00:28, 11 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

edit

Would personally delete the whole article because it attempts to give credence to a word that is nothing but a marketing buzz term which caught on. But it'll just get reverted. Anyways, 1st paragraph of the definition, there is no such word as "unexistant". "Nonexistent" is what you're going for.. was the article written by a "Tween"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.169.50.101 (talk) 21:12, 2 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Where's The Criticism Section?

edit

With such an annoying word popping up spontaneously and annoying so many people, there must be literally thousands of sources criticising, and downright lambasting, the use of this term. But those sources are suspiciously absent from your article... Is Wikipedia pro-annoying slang?50.168.176.243 (talk) 19:28, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, I move for deletion of this article on the grounds that this term is a baseless slang word that serves to do nothing but deliberately annoy people. Any relevant content can be merged with adolescents or pre-teen with, "tween" redacted from said content.50.168.176.243 (talk) 19:58, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Back to basics

edit

"A tween is a person who is between the ages of 10 to 12 years old" "Literature suggests that when children reach their tween years (8–12 years old)" Then, without defining the term, we are told how many of these 10-12/8-12/?-? year olds there are. - SummerPhD (talk) 20:07, 25 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
