An interesting note: Two Dot's claim to fame is that most people in Montana, me for one, considered it a fictional town. In 1967 at Boeing Aircraft men would graffiti states and under that towns from where they originated. Boeing was mass hiring from Montana employment services. Two Dot was one of the most popular from Montana. It was similar to "Kilroy was Here." It was not until mapping software that I discovered my error. Since I consider myself a Virtual resident of Two Dot, I prefer "Fictional" to the above description of "unincorporated village". That sounds like grass huts. I expect the local rednecks to buy me a Moose Drool when I show up in town. Robert J. Lanier ROBERT J. LANIER 17:47, 25 September 2007 (UTC) NOTE: As of April 2009 the "unincorporated village" designation was removed.
Two Dot has mountain scapes to percolate the synapses of any City Slicker. Big Daddy Starbucks. (aka Robert J. Lanier)
"... wild passion and impossible dreams can make music that would shame a meadowlark." John Greenleaf Whittier and Follow Your Art @Match. Yes I do wish I could meet that woman.
February 31, 2009 I purchased the local one and only World Famous Two Dot Bar and Grill. I have been busy remodeling in Art Deco Ranch Style. Mostly left over paint of all colours. Next June if the snow melts and the City Slickers can get here it will reopen to the public under the name The Threshold of Dreams. Fresh wild game poached any way you prefer. Stop in for a cold Moose Drool on tap. We will also offer Cappuccino Macchiato made with real Folgers coffee. If you want steak you can shoot your own Elk or Whitetail right off the lanai. If you desire Sushi the bait shop is next door. Robert J. Lanier.
I tried to spruce up the main page by detailing the metal sculpture of wildly painted farm machinery parts which is an artistic wonder to city folk. Also a reference to the red building in town with the Red Cross on a white background. I tell tourists Two Dot has a Swiss Embassy. My entry was deleted and I was told to go play in the Sandbox. I expect the old time locals do not want a population explosion of Californian influx. Robert J. Lanier
- Well, that was entertaining. Grass huts, lanai? I grew up a couple hours east, along the Musselshell River, and my dad told me Two Dot was named because the ranch owner was illiterate, and had two fingers cut off in an accident, so his "mark" when a signature was needed was putting the two finger stubs in ink and signing with two dots, and that became his ranch brand. I don't know if that's true or not, I can't find anything to corroborate that. Nerfer (talk) 20:03, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
