This article has gone back and forth a number of times on whether to label David Tennant as Tennant's adoptive father, or just father, in the infobox. As far as I have been able to tell, there is no specific guideline for this, but to save it from being frequently changed, it is worth discussing. Some points to note:
it is made clear in the article body that DT adopted TT
as adoption is a legal process, "father" is an accurate description, but equally it could be argued that inclusion of "adoptive" will aid clarity
whichever way is deemed best, consistency within the article is essential – the same must apply to Sandy McDonald in the relevant infobox field.
