name

edit

I am moving to Tyrol Grey. In accord with the following reliable sources it is the breeds name:

  1. Tyrol Grey
  2. Tyrolean Grey
    • GBS: 90 results
    • FAO DAD-IS: Tyrolean Grey/Bosnia and Herzegovina
    • incl. Mason's World Dictionary of Livestock Breeds, Types and Varieties, with the name Tyrol Grey and altname Tyrolean Grey[1][2]
    • incl. "Tyrolean grey uniform"[3] and "Tyrolean Grey cheese"[4], that also is a "Tyrol Grey Cheese"[5][6]
    • many European/Austrian translations (EAAP publications)
  3. Tiroler Grauvieh
  4. Tyrolese Grey
    • GBS: 5 results, incl. "a new and stylish Tyrolese grey felt hat"

Tyrol Grey cattle is probably the correct article name ("Tyrol Grey" per majority of sources, and with "cattle" natural disambiguation, per innumerable previous RMs about cases like this, using a color name without any indication of what it is a color).  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  19:49, 18 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that looks like the best title. Few sources seem to use the current title. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 18:23, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tyrolese Grey cattleTyrol Grey cattle – Per the discussion above. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 18:27, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Oppose as proposed. If you want to move it, move it to Tyrol Grey. There's no other candidate for that title, so disambiguation is not needed. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:52, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'd be happy with that too. My only concern is that the name "Tyrolese Grey", with or without the "cattle", is used far less in reliable sources than "Tyrol Grey". 86.17.222.157 (talk) 19:19, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
