An odd song. The Hebrew lyrics had a nationalistic bent to them, while the English lyrics (by the Weavers) had an internationalistic bent to them.

'Julius Grossman, who did not know who composed the song, wrote the so-called third part of 'Tzena' about November 1946." can someone explain what this is referring to? the song does not seem to have a "third part." --24.19.26.35 (talk) 04:12, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Pete Seeger recorded this song with Arabic lyrics? Where did they come from?

They recorded a longer, more-silly version than the one on Purple Onion. On the jacket of the LP Curb Your Tongue, Knave! this other version was titled "Swiss Christmas"; though an introductory comic routine was radically irrelevant to the song, the musical content was more-or-less identical across versions. The event they associated with the song was changed from a "Uruguayan camel race" to an elaborate account of disruption to a ceremony during which villagers walked in circles around a Yule tree.drone5 (talk) 08:47, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
