Focus of page
editCaroleHenson, I have concerns about the scope and focus of this page. Most of it seems to be about the issue of press freedom in the United States, rather than the tracker specifically. This is a WP:CONTENTFORK that'll detract from our coverage of the topic as a whole. I would suggest refocusing the page around the tracker and establishing its notability, or merging the page to the press freedom page. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 04:24, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- Sdkb My first, and hopefully my last, ContentFork comment, but I agree with your comments. I can see that trying to provide context was unhelpful in this case.
- I went ahead and trimmed the article. I don't have a preference whether to merge this into an existing article or keep it as a stand-alone article. - CaroleHenson, the merge would be to Freedom of the press in the United States if we take that route. The content that you just trimmed was quite good, so I think there's a place for it in that article if it's not yet present there. - Sdkb - I have been going back and forth about whether to remove the infobox. I kind of like it - having the screenshot and some basic info. But, it's not always appreciated to have infoboxes anywhere but the intro section, so I won't be bothered if it goes.–CaroleHenson (talk) 06:35, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
