Removal of county/city listing
editWhy were the county/city lists removed from this article? They are part of the Roads in Maryland WikiProject editing guide and are listed as requirements for an article of this type. Besides, their removal means that the junction list and the routebox now overlap, forcing the junction list to be squashed to fit at some screen resolutions.
Unless told otherwise, I plan to restore the lists in a few days. -TheOneKEA
- I assume per standards at WP:USH. It should be noted that the counties were already in the infobox and that the cities were later added, making the inclusion of the lists in the article proper redundant. On a different note, the lead should be expanded anyway, which would help to push the junction list down past the infobox. I have no comment on this issue, but just a thought for all interested parties: where does the scope of state highway projects (Maryland in this case) end and national projects (U.S. Routes) begin? The answer to that question will help answer this one. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 20:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Personally, I feel that the cities and counties lists belong in the article and not the infobox. The reasoning behind this is that I feel that it's more convenient to the reader to see these lists in a vertical format in the main article rather than in a comma-separated list in routebox-sized text. Also, another reason for listing the counties in the article is that we can put the lengths through each county after the county (see U.S. Route 50 in Maryland for an example). Of course we can also do this in the routebox, but it works much better if the counties are listed vertically. And yes, the county lengths are part of the MDRD standards, but unfortunately only a handful of articles actually adhere to that particular standard currently.-Jeff (talk) 03:00, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Assessment
editDue to this article not having pictures, sources, and also not adhering to WP:USRD standards (MDRD and USRD standards conflict, and in this case, USRD has priority). V60 干什么? · VDemolitions · VRoads (路) 21:41, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Badly signed US 1 in Baltimore
editI am not sure if this is significant, as Baltimore fails miserably at signing anything, including I-95. However, US 1 is a mystery in Baltimore City; it's signed on MLK Blvd and parts of Washington Boulevard that aren't even in the state highway system. Also, US 40 seems to think there's a "Truck US 1" at Hilton Parkway for some reason. I could go on, but... should there be notes about how badly Baltimore signs the route placed in the City's route description? —Onore Baka Sama(speak | stalk) 17:11, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
