- I'd say "travels north alongside" the railroad, since it obviously doesn't literally travel on the railroad.
- "during the post-war era." Should likely be specific to which war... it;s obvious WWII, but assume ignorance.
- "Route Numbering Committee" Isn't there actually a formal name for the special committee? If this isn't it, it shouldn't be in caps.
- 30 feet (9.1 m) debris" 30 feet of debris, I would think.
