• "Its twisted columns were designed with new structural engineering principles." - Maybe explain briefly what these new structural engineering principles were

• The briefest I could come up with would be "...new structural engineering principles whereby torsion is used to support deliberately twisted bases." • Done the first and last; it's more an artistic piece than just a tower, and adding 'the' would be appropriate if 'Bridge' was 'bridge', but it's not (General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge is a proper noun, if it were 'General Rafael Urdaneta bridge', it would be 'the X bridge'.
