Conflict of interest and copyright
editI have just added a load of text to this article (diff). I am a trustee and director of UKCOD and, as such, suffer a conflict of interest here. Having populated the article, using text from UKCOD's website (which should be made public very soon), I intend only to make NPOV edits to this article from now on.
The text is almost directly copy/pasted from our website. The text on our website is CC-licenced, ergo this is not a copyright violation. If any Wikipedian wishes to discuss this further, or to list the page for deletion or copyvio, please could you email me or add a note to my Talk: page to let me know. Thanks! — OwenBlacker 23:50, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- In the interest of transparency, I should point out that I have updated the list of trustees (of which I am one). I've added citations to the list, to avoid any claims of POV edits or conflicts of interest. If any Wikipedian would like to discuss these edits, please add a note to my Talk: page, so that my attention is drawn to the matter; I find it very difficult to keep on top of my watchlist, so might otherwise miss any edits. Thanks again! — OwenBlacker (Talk) 12:48, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
- I have updated the list of trustees again, with updated citations. Again, if any Wikipedian would like to discuss these edits, please add a note to my Talk: page, so that my attention is drawn to the matter; I do not monitor my watchlist, so might otherwise miss any edits. Thanks again! — OwenBlacker (Talk) 13:55, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
I declared an interest on 14 January 2012. As of 15 July 2019, I no longer have an interest in mySociety and related articles, having retired from the trustee and company boards on that date. — OwenBlacker (he/him; Talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 08:06, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
