UNIDO Goodwill Ambassador Article
editThis article was created from a redirect link to the UNIDO article. This article is supported by WikiProject United Nations and is relative to soft power and diplomacy in international relations. The article is about the title of authority and legal status of the style (manner of address) for goodwill ambassadors and to identify those individuals that have been commissioned with honorable title(s) "Goodwill Ambassador", "Advocate", "Consul" and/or "Envoy". For all intents and purposes the term advocate has also been adopted by some of the United Nations specialized agencies in a sense and way to refer to activism, not to a lawyer, but perhaps to an ombudsman, to avoid redundancy and repetition the terms goodwill ambassador and advocate may be used as an alternate synonymous term.
Identifying and connecting UNIDO goodwill ambassadors with the United Nations and their individual missions is important to newspaper, magazine and online editors; it may also be important to the safety of these individuals depending on their mission, many United Nations goodwill ambassadors are not known very well outside of their region or nation. If you can improve this article by adding content or see anyone missing from it that has been overlooked or does not belong there, then please edit it. It is also acceptable to list "former UNIDO goodwill ambassadors" as well if there is a reference. Problemsmith (talk) 11:51, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
