DANFS and other Navy information conflicts with contemporary and historical information from professional sources. DANFS is usually excellent in the naval history, having access to official data and reports, but is occassionally very off on commercial histories of vessels taken into naval service with regard to corporate history associations and other specifics. An example here is launch date of 26 March 1907, including sponsor, while other data shows January or specifically 29 January 1907.
