A couple of things. First, why is Drebble's "submarine" on the historic list? There's some question it was ever built. And why isn't USS Ethan Allen? IIRC, she was first FBM to launch a missile submerged. Or H.L.Hunley, 1st boat to sink an enemy warship? Trekphiler 05:51, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Horsepower Question
editThe horsepower figure seems to be too high. Assuming that its reactor has a S4G type, like the two reactors on the Triton (SSN-586) producing 45,000 shp, then Halibut's output should be hald of this -- 22,500 shp.Marcd30319 (talk) 17:37, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
The reactor onboard the Halibut was a S3W reactor according to Norman Polmar's Cold War Submarines, with 7300 shaft horsepower.Marcd30319 (talk) 23:17, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
