I found this article with "Alamosa-class" red-linked so I changed the location to USS Alamosa (AK-156). I am not too sure if the article I changed it to is relevant, so if anyone can review this change, that would be great! --Orduin⋘T⋙17:22, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

The whole "battle star"/honors for ships thing is tied to Naval personnel getting to share the award if they were currently serving on board at the time of the award. MSTS/MSC civilian mariners just get paid. USNS ships of MSTS/MSC don't sail about with those Navy ship ribbons painted on the bridge placard. So, listing campaigns when the workaday MSTS/MSC ship was in the area is not accurate. Palmeira (talk) 18:43, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Adding cite from NavSource for Vietnam honors for a ship that was civilian crewed MSTS/MSC is not a credible source for such an exceptional claim. No such awards are listed in ship's official history. Palmeira (talk) 06:13, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
