Apologies for the delay in getting to this. I have reviewed up until the Guam section, with no issues spotted apart from a possible typo which I have fixed. I have to take a break now (my four-week old son is screaming his head off), more to follow. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 06:04, 16 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hunter-killer operations and Lingayen Gulf: perhaps link kamikaze
Linked already
Iwo Jima: perhaps link the battle here: the invasion of Iwo Jima began on 19 February
According to the Battle of Iwo Jima article, both the battle and invasion began that day, it is a semantic distinction here.
Okinawa: suggest rephrasing "O'Flaherty contributed with her aft 40 mm guns to flak that helped shoot down of a diving Japanese A6M Zero."
Fixed
Okinawa: "...shafts had a missing fairwater...", what is a fairwater? There are no obvious links on Wikipedia so may need to rephrase. Perhaps just refer to her shafts and steering needing repairs.
Made less specific
Okinawa: suggest "She was drydocked on ARD-26 between 4 and 8 June for the necessary repairs,..."
Done
Okinawa: "...joined up with Task Unit 32.1.3 on the same day." Please check the Task Unit designation, previously stated she was joining 32.1.1.
Order was changed en route, but I've made it less specific because I think there was too much detail there
References: the Friedman 1981 reference is missing the state, plus the Gardiner ref shows the state as initials, not written out in full like the others.
