The Pensy
editMy Grandfather was an electrician on the Pensacola for most of the Pacific action. I have talked extensively with him about his combat experiences on the ship.

Inappropriate tone
editThis article was obviously written with a lot of love for the subject matter, but the tone reads more like an adventure story for boys than for an encyclopedia. Particularly the section about the Battle of Tassafaronga. Entirely too dramatic. The Masked Booby (talk) 01:19, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
