Nice job on this Gatoclass. I removed the DWT figure as DP will always exceed DWT, and DANFS lists DP at 10,000. I see now that your DWT figure must have come from the Marine review article. That creates a dilemma, as they cannot both be correct. Perhaps an explanatory footnote? Kablammo (talk) 15:15, 6 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Nice catch, Kablammo. I think it's the displacement number that is probably wrong as, looking at comparable ships, the DP is larger. Also, I just added a source which states that the ship carried "10,500 tons of coal" on one voyage, which would appear to confirm that the displacement must have been considerably larger than 10,000.
