Images in gallery
editA number of images in this article's "Photo Galleries" section do not provide a source for where the images came from. They do say that the creator/author of the works are the US Navy, but it doesn't specify the exact publication from which the image was taken (e.g. a URL or a print media title or "own work"). As a result, I have tagged each of them for dated speedy deletion under WP:F4. Specifically, they are:
- File:USS Reeves Underway Color (1).jpg
- File:USS Reeves Underway Color (3).jpg
- File:USS Reeves Underway Color (6).jpg
- File:Reeves Mothballs (5).jpg
- File:Reeves Mothballs (6).jpg
- File:Reeves Mothballs (7).jpg

- They are all probably from navsource.org which got them from the old DoD server. Now they are probably all on loc.gov --Dual Freq (talk) 00:11, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- On second thought, I'm not sure where the mothball ones came from. --Dual Freq (talk) 00:19, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
The mothball ones apparently came from http://www.ussreeves.net/images_hp/indexmb1.htm Tom Bailey's Trip to InactShips Facility, Pearl Harbor 1999. Former sailor c.1984, but apparently not USN in 1999. Not PD-USN, Copyright 2007, USSReeves.net --Dual Freq (talk) 03:02, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Dual Freq: Wow, thanks for providing source links so quickly! I've withdrawn the deletion requests and will forthwith begin the process of transferring to the Wikimedia Commons. All the best, Mz7 (talk) 04:44, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- The first three files have been transferred to the Commons. The "mothballs" files appear to have questionable copyright status. I'll look into it. Mz7 (talk) 04:52, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
