USS William Bacon (1863)USS William Bacon – While USS Lovering (DE-39) was named for William Bacon Lovering, that ship doesn't seem to have ever been known as the "William Bacon". There doesn't seem to have been any other William Bacons in US Navy service, so the disambiguation is not needed, and at any rate, I can't figure out from the article content where the (1863) is coming from.
