Disambiguation vs. Redirect
editThis is a discussion concerning whether the "UTSA" page should be redirected to University of Texas at San Antonio or be made into a disambiguation page.
Redirect: This page has, for a while now, been redirected to University of Texas at San Antonio. A simple Google search of "UTSA" reveals why. After flipping through numerous pages of search results, I can't even find a page on the Uniform Trade Secrets Act when looking up "UTSA". I propose that a clarification is placed on the top of the University of Texas at San Antonio page to indicate that "UTSA" redirects there, but that there is also the Uniform Trade Secrets Act. This seems to be the most fair solution, respective to colloquial references to the acronym. --Ðrdak (T) 20:48, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Primary topic? - revisiting the question
editThe question of primary topic has been raised again, so I will propose that UTSA be redirected to University of Texas at San Antonio and the disambiguation page moved to UTSA (disambiguation). A Google search suggests that University of Texas at San Antonio is the primary topic but is this sufficient? Leschnei (talk) 14:15, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Pageviews Analysis also supports the university as primary. You might want to make this a formal page move proposal with Template:Requested move. That way an admin makes the official move and it'll stick longer. -- Fyrael (talk) 14:56, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks Fyrael, did I do this right? Leschnei (talk) 23:30, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

UTSA → UTSA (disambiguation) – University of Texas at San Antonio appears to be the primary topic, so I propose that UTSA redirect to University of Texas at San Antonio, and the disambiguation page be moved to UTSA (disambiguation). Leschnei (talk) 23:30, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose -- no reason given for primarygrab. Dicklyon (talk) 05:41, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - I have a very high bar for any particular initialism being primary over others. -- Netoholic @ 11:32, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose. I am not persuaded there's a primary topic. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:20, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
