Query
editHey! Does anyone know what 'school' or 'knowledge' is in Udmurt? Thanks! FreshBreeze 23:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Romanization
editWhich romanization system is used throughout the article? Admiral Norton (talk) 20:43, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Could be the Uralic Phonetic Alphabet. But anyway, using an unexplained transcription without the original is always a bad idea; I just tried to retranscribe the transcription into the original Cyrillic, but I don't know Udmurt at all, so I may have made mistakes – and there was already at least one mistake in the transcription, which had kiliz instead of kyliz ("the language").
- I also fixed the outdated IPA and explained how the palatalized consonants are written (exactly like in Russian – but we can't simply assume that our readers know Russian!).

Errors found
edit- In "udmurt alphabet" table, "Ö" letter is used in "Uppercase" column and "ö" in used in "Lowercase" and "Letter name" columns. These letters are latin. Please replace it with cyrillic Ӧӧ (That looks like latin ones, but using of latin letters there is incorrect).
- "Transliteration" throws me into doubt... Please explain, what system is used?
- There is more stuff to be checked, but sorry I have none time. I will be back some time ago. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewboltachev (talk • contribs) 14:55, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Other notes
edit- Udmurt has 15 grammar cases, agglutinative, etc. Abhijay (☎ Talk) (✐ Deeds) 10:58, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
- It's been claimed that the language is spoken in Kazakhstan, yet there is no source to prove it. Abhijay (☎ Talk) (✐ Deeds) 11:02, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
