I agree with the citation need raised over the allegation he was killed in WWII, as his Italian wikipedia article states he died after an operation but no indication of violent circumstances to his death. I would delete him from the category of Italian civilians killed in World War II.Cloptonson (talk) 19:06, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I deleted that false claim. The article on Museo del Ciclismo, which I added as a reference, says he died during surgery in the hospital in Desio. Desio lies in Lombardia (which borders to Switzerland - but also Desio lies in the province Monza e Brianza which doesn't even border Switzerland) and there was no war in Lombardia in 1941!
