Unit Investment Trust → Unit investment trust –
This should be completely uncontroversial. Per WP:MOSCAPS ("Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization") and WP:TITLE, this is a generic, common term, not a propriety or commercial term, so the article title should be downcased. In addition, WP:MOSCAPS says that a compound item should not be upper-cased just because it is abbreviated with caps. Lowercase will match the formatting of related article titles. - Support as speedy/uncontroversial. The article was somewhat confused about what its topic was, so I looked at sources, fixed it, and cited one. The idea that this was the proper name of a US company was just a confusion that resulted from the editing history, it appears (this edit and this merge). - Comment -- The article is not clear as to where this kind of security is offered and traded. Is this in the USA? In UK, we have Unit Trusts, which are managed and do not accord with the definition. Peterkingiron (talk) 23:41, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, my edits to the lead dropped the fact that in the US this type of fund is classified as an investment company; fixed. I don't know if this type exists in other countries, but it's not the same as the UK's unit trust. See the complicated history. Dicklyon (talk) 23:52, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The term does not seem to be capitalized as a proper noun in most sources. Theoldsparkle (talk) 18:58, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
