Why not U.S. Post Office, Delmar, New York ? —Tamfang (talk) 16:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Because all the other U.S. Post Office articles are similarly disambiguated. "U.S. Post Office" is the proper name of a building, not a location, therefore per WP:NC it takes the parenthetical. I will be reverting. Daniel Case (talk) 19:51, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hm. I wonder whether anyone has done a survey of how many United States post offices are named "U.S. Post Office" vs "United States Post Office" vs "Delmar Post Office" vs not formally named at all. In other words, I still have doubts. —Tamfang (talk) 06:30, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
The only mention of the word building in WP:NC is in a reference to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (architecture), which has no examples of disambiguaton. Could you be more specific? —Tamfang (talk) 06:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
WP:NC does say that schools should be disambiguated with parentheses; but schools have names that are more readily recognizable as names, you know? —Tamfang (talk) 07:23, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
