editA few additional notes:
- Two more books (there are obviously lots more, but these are suggestions) are The Myth of the Titanic (Richard Parton Howells, Palgrave Macmillan, 1999) and The Other Side of the Night: The Carpathia, the Californian and the Night the Titanic Was Lost (Daniel Allen Butler, Casemate Publishers, 2009). The latter has Chapter 8: 'The American Investigation' and Chapter 9: 'The British Inquiry'.
- Cyril Furmstone Evans testified at both inquiries. Arthur Godfrey Peuchen testified at the US inquiry, as did Daniel Buckley and Emily Ryerson. Mahala Douglas (the widow of Walter Donald Douglas) also testified, as did Eleanor Elkins Widener who lost her husband and son (George Dunton Widener and Harry Elkins Widener). Other entries are possible from Crew of the RMS Titanic.

Dates
editThis article is about the United States Senate inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic. Therefore, shouldn't all of the dates in the article be listed in American format, as opposed to British format (i.e., April 15, 1912, versus 15 April 1912) ...? Thanks. Joseph A. - I have no objection. When starting articles, I write in the date format which I'm used to writing in (Day Month Year), so that's why it started out that way. I don't switch and change spelling depending on what I'm writing about, so I don't for dates either. And I'd likely forget half the time as well. You might, however, want to check first with those who edit Titanic-related articles more often than I do, and the other editor (User:Prioryman) who expanded this article after it was started.
