My COI

I think I should mention that I have an indirect COI in relation to this topic. If anyone thinks my edits are not neutral, please feel free to raise the issue. Thanks. wctaiwan (talk) 09:14, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The old title was not ungrammatical, and it had the advantage of being shorter, more understandable and consistent with similar articles on Wikipedia. Please start a move request if you still disagree. wctaiwan (talk) 02:36, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

And I don't remember Japan or [South] Korea (in English, and in the English Wikipedia, the name for the modern Country is always either "South Korea" or "Republic of Korea", but never just simply "Korea") to be English-speaking Countries either! I think, that you would have a lot of problems with your English if you did think that they were! This is what "Nick" was also talking about – poor and bad English. Just because for the fact that similar titles are used in the Japanese and the South Korean articles, does not somehow mean that they are "correct English". This is not very different from me telling you how you should speak Taiwanese, I think. -- KC9TV 18:05, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I avoided mentioning it at Talk:Taiwan because it plainly has nothing to do with the article, but I find your deriding my English-speaking abilities ridiculous and insulting. My English has flaws—the insufficient breadth of my vocabulary, minor grammatical issues, etc.—but practically no one has found it problematic in years, either offline or on Wikipedia. I will be asking N-HH to clarify, as I don't think he was talking about me when he complained of poor writing from non-native speakers which did not improve the article. Wikipedia is not the free encyclopedia native speakers of English can edit; it's the encyclopedia anyone can edit. I ask that you be more respectful and cease using my (perfectly sufficient) English as a way to discredit me in content disputes in the future. wctaiwan (talk) 00:47, 13 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
These are not my words. Putting words into my mouth is not correct, and there is this funny saying in the English language – that I am sure that your English is a lot better than my Taiwanese! And what "content dispute"? Why the need to make it a battle-ground? I am most certainly not, and I am not proposing the title be changed again either, at least not for the time being, if conformity with the South Koreans and with the Japanese – even at the expense of correct English – is so important! -- KC9TV 05:38, 13 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
