editRemoved the four principles from Mark Ward's book. All have counter-examples in the literature.
More disambiguation work needed
editThere are three very similar articles that can be confusing: Universal, Universality, and Universalism. The tasks below need to be done for this article:
- The articles listed in See also need to be checked to make sure that everything is linked to the correct article/disambig.
- Most of the articles that link here should go to a specific page rather than this one (the disambig page).
- This page should be renamed to Universality (disambiguation)
Ridiculous redirect
editSo I just made the discovery that both Universality (Medieval History) and Universality (Philosophy) both point to the latter; i.e., the former is a redirect. I'll change this if it appears there is no good reason for this. danis1911 (talk) 17:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Universality in Physics Should be Added to Wikipedia
editUniversality is a fundamental principle of physics. Science presumes that the universe operates according to some set of fundamental physical laws that are the same everywhere, at all times. I've been unable to find any existing, appropriate entries in Wikipedia. I'll write one and submit it.

“Universality”, in Physics, is “Background Independence”
editI found the entry for “Background Independence”, which is the current name for “Universality”. I'm adding this reference to this page. Also, I'll look into getting this page renamed so it's a disambiguation page, as Twisted86 has suggested.
