chicago gsb's alumni list
This list should only include alumni with the highest distinctions, leader in a field or on the executive level of distinguished companies. Yes, and not self-promoters
Rankings
In line with all other top business school articles on wikipedia, rankings should be left to the aggregate box. Since Chicago does so well is so many, along with school like Wharton and Sloan, it is more than acceptable to merely direct people to the aggregate rankings. Also, privaledging one ranking system over another is dubious.
I think showing the rankings of other schools is tasteless. The rankings should just be of GSB that leave it at that. The new rankings that show other schools adds 0 value as GSB's rankings are already in the grid above.
Overhaul
The quality of this article was pretty poor. There were facts that were just downright wrong, and a fair amount of history was missing. Also, large potions of uncited information had to go. A section on the school's culture has to draw on resources such as independently produced, business school guides. You cannot cite the GSB's own marketing literature in order to talk about its collegial atmosphere, spirit of independence, etcetera.
topic sentence
This article needs a real topic sentence. The current one would only make sense if the campus location really was the most telling feature of the business school.
"credited with making the school a leading producer of highly quantitative graduates"
About a month ago, I put a "citation needed" tag on this statement (refers to a program which allows students to choose electives even in their freshman year):
- This format is credited with making the school a leading producer of highly quantitative graduates, especially in the fields of finance and applied economic theory.
If it "is credited," it is reasonable to ask for a citation showing who, exactly, credits it.
This can be reinserted by anyone who can cite a good source supporting the statement.
(By the way, what is a "highly quantitative graduate?") Dpbsmith (talk) 13:14, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
First business school to have a Nobel laureate on its faculty (George Stigler, 1982)
"First business school to have a Nobel laureate on its faculty (George Stigler, 1982)" Stigler had reitired the year before. --Duncan 10:42, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
That is not correct. I was there from 1984 to 1986 and he was still there -had drinks with him at a barbecue. What I am not sure is right is that is has six Nobel laureates -some of those mentioned were not from the GSB but from the Economics School. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.75.246.49 (talk) 09:46, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

"World's leading business school"
This is claimed in the topic sentence, but it's not really supported anywhere. Many would take issue with it. I believe the truth is that it's one of a handful of top schools. Full disclosure: I am a graduate of the school. Lou Sander (talk) 16:50, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:GSB Logo.gif.gif
Image:GSB Logo.gif.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Booth School Redirect
I created the article Booth School of Business which redirects here. When everything is 100% official and we know exactly how they want to be called, we might switch the content there and make this the redirect (better check with admins who know how to do this).
Also we need to have an article on David G. Booth, there already is an article on David Booth, a hockey player. Smallbones (talk) 02:09, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
