I'm trying to add this picture to the article but I can't come up with a good-looking article layout. Can somebody help me out? —RadRafe | t 16:14, 29 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

I gave it a shot. Maybe the {{-}} template, which clears sections, might help you put the image where you want. -- Usgnus 18:24, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Added new President's name and removed three fictitious (and unreferenced) "alumni". Borealismoose (talk) 01:00, 11 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

New President

edit

UNBC has a new President but i don't know his name

There was Don Cozetto who left in 2008 and as interim we have Charles Jago who has returned.Thompsma (talk) 00:22, 17 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I added an additional external link that points to the Over The Edge Newspaper website. I figured that since the article mentioned it, it would make sense to point to the papers homepage as well. I also happen to know that the home-page will eventually move to it's own domain - it just hasn't happened yet. When it does, hopefully I'll come back to update the link. So incase you are wondering why all the editions are last years, it's because they are in the process of moving over.--Trikster85 00:07, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of motto

edit

I've corrected the translation of the motto. The original version was correct but for unexplained reasons someone changed it to an incorrect translation. Please don't change translations from languages that you don't know. (And yes, I do understand Carrier.) Bill 10:59, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Bill! I got this bit of information from a local carrier speaker through a First Nations professor on campus:

...it means "He, she, it has life. Meaning: fundamental Carrier value which dictates a person's behavior towards his/her fellow beings, animals and the environment, anyone or anything. Life is respected.

I'm very interested in this quote and its meaning. There have been several interpretations over the years. The relationship beyond the social aspect would be valuable information with respect to the ecosystems upon which UNBC sits. I've talked to some of the band chiefs and elders about this as well - different opinions. I'd be interested to hear what you have to say.Thompsma (talk) 00:28, 17 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

References

edit

I've started to add as many references as possible to the page to make it more accurate and in line with wikipedia policy. I've also updated the stats to the latest available (07/08) Please feel free to add more links so we can improve the quality of the UNBC page HistoryStudent113 (talk) 09:25, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sections

edit

I have reorganized some of the sections to make the article flow a little better and to improve cohesion, I will have another look at it and if I can't improve it further I will remove the template asking for fewer sections. Suggestions are always welcome HistoryStudent113 (talk) 06:39, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
