rivalry

edit

I think we should coin a new term: Greifstock. As with Oxford and Cambridge, there is a similar rivalry between the University of Rostock and the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald, both of them being in the same state and looking for government money *lol*. Sky 12:08, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Translation needed

edit

I note that this article still needs proper translation, if anyone else has time for this ... help! Also the claim about "oldest university in Northern Europe" presumably excludes Scotland as being in Northern Europe?!? mervyn 15:44, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that is a dubious claim. I changed it to northern continental europe.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 139.30.18.213 (talkcontribs).
I translated - with questionable quality ;-) - the university's history from the German wikipedia. Even if it did include Scotland, it would be the second oldest after the University of St Andrews (founded 1410-1413), I think. But I included continental. However, I was'nt sure whether continental includes Scandinavia, so I also wrote the Baltic Sea area. Likedeeler 16:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I always thought that the British Islands belong to Western Europe, not northern. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.226.16.128 (talk) 00:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rostock University template

How about creating a beautiful template for Rostock, similar to that of Greifswald? -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 13:24, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
