This lists Wickens as playing acoustic guitar during "All My Loving". He definitely didn't at last night's Hard Rock Calling gig (it was certainly an electric guitar) – is this the cast at all gigs? matt (talk) 10:03, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

OK, three videos I've watched on YouTube from this tour (Mexico Foro Sol, Glendale Jobing.com Arena, and Hyde Park) all show him with the same (electric) guitar. I'm going to change this in the article now. Wickens definitely played acoustic during at least one song on the Back in the World tour, but I've leant the DVD to a friend so can't find out what it was. matt (talk) 10:08, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Ram On

In Charlotte, NC, July 28, before "Something" he played "Ram On" on the uke. He said that it was a request. To my knowledge, this may be the only time the song has been played in concert (of course, I'm not sure about that). Bubba73 ^{(You talkin' to me?)}, 20:33, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

He definitely played it at Hard Rock Calling, and according to the article the setlist there was the same as at the Bridgestone Arena. I can't remember whether he said it was a request or not. This video, taken at the Millennium Stadium performance (the day before Hard Rock), states that McCartney played it after it was "requested by an audience member holding a sign". A YouTube search for mccartney ram on 2010 suggests he performed it at the Rio Tinto Stadium too. matt (talk) 22:22, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I've updated the article – it implied that he had played the "normal" version of Sgt. Peppers. As for Foxey Lady, the band often jam through a few bars as a coda to "Let Me Roll It". Hope this helps. matt (talk) 22:43, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Currently, the Time Warner Cable Arena show (Charlotte) is listed with a group of setlists that is accurate in terms on Drive My Car, Let Em In, I've Just Seen a Face, and And I Love Her, but still omits Ram On. That's right. Also in Charlotte, he did not do the "4,000 holes" verse of ADitL - went straight into "Give Peace a Chance" at that point. I don't know if that is the same as other concerts or different. Bubba73 ^{(You talkin' to me?)}, 23:24, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

instruments

I think it would be interesting to list the instruments he used. He had two Les Pauls I don't think I've seen before - one was sunburnt and the other was red with a lot of little decorations. Likewise. One of the Les Pauls is pinkish-red with lots of painted people on it (an image of a replica is on the Gibson website). Off the top of my head I can only think of him using that one during "Let Me Roll It". He uses the sunburst one during "The End". As for the other band members, there's a video on Brian Ray's YouTube channel where he runs through all his guitars. I don't think Rusty Anderson uses as many (one or two electrics, at least one acoustic). Macca Central has a page listing kit used on the Driving Rain tour, though I'm sure someone somewhere has a decent list of current gear! matt (talk) 22:36, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Paul talked about the Russians liking the "ho, hey-ho" in :Mrs. Vandrbilt" and he talked about some Russian saying that is first record was "Love ME Do". Then he said something that he said was a true story about the Russian defense minister (or something), but the sound was so bad that neither me nor my daughter caught what he said. Can't comment about any other shows than the ones I went to, but at Isle of Wight and Hard Rock he referred to playing Mrs Vanderbilt in Ukraine. I'm just listening back to the Hard Rock show now – when the song has finished, the crowd sings the "ho, hey-ho" bit, and McCartney says "Are you from the Ukraine? [...] Yeah, we did a gig in the Ukraine a couple of years ago; we did that song then". Unfortunately, I've only got an edited version of the show so whatever he talks about regarding the Russian guy has been cut out, but he definitely talked about it there! matt (talk) 22:20, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

For us he talked about it either right after or before he played "Back in the USSR". He said how he had finally got to play the song for the first time in the Red Square whenever, and then he said how incredible to learn that there were "people who actually learned English...from Beatles records."
