Splitting

edit

I think this article shoukld be splitteed in two. The two different topics is discussed in two. As the article says it's the list of names o persons with the surname. While there is also info about Upadhyaya in Buddhism. There's already an article for Jainism. Since I think both are different purposes. I thik the Buddhist info should be moved to Upajjhaya. Is it a good idea? JaMongKut (talk) 09:28, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think no need to discuss a sthis seems to be non controversial move. JaMongKut (talk) 09:41, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
But I would left the Jainism as it is, as I don't know much about it. A knower can do it in more perfect way, I will ask anyone having knowledge about this religion to do so?JaMongKut (talk) 09:43, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Completion of articles and width of usage

edit

Need willing people to complete this article. My contributions were undone. I don't mind that. But what I mind is that it was done by a moderator who knows nothing about the subject at hand. It's like a clueless wiki bureaucracy. My suggestions are as follows:

One page for Jainism, One for Hinduism, One for Buddhism. One collective page containing branching surnames that also mean Upadhyay. One page for title of Upadhyay. One page for Caste. This one page is just listing famous people. what about the central understanding of "Upadhyay", the caste, it's precepts and way of life? Aum Upadhyay (talk) 23:40, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
