Luminosity
editThat low a luminosity value for a giant star with 11 solar radii seems a little suspect to me, but that's what the references list. Praemonitus (talk)
- Although the Vizie tables don't make it clear, the luminosity values are logarithms which expand to much more sensible values. To be honest, it takes a bit of digging even in the paper to see this, so hardly surprising Vizie got it wrong. CADARS is not necessarily a very reliable source though. Although it is itself a relatively recent database, many of its entries are from 50 or more years ago and wildly inaccurate. A more modern estimate would actually be about 7 R☉, but I didn't spot any references for that in a quick search. I'll correct the article. Lithopsian (talk) 22:15, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
