Deletion ?
editI nominate this page for deletion. This article is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person and is not an acceptable as an article acording to Wikipedia guidelines. -- 71.43.215.143 (talk) 21:47, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- I've cleaned it up significantly. While the article was unacceptably promotional I think a large membership association for medical facilities is inherently notable and it would be better for wikipedia if we could keep a non-promotional article on them. Unfortunately it seems that UCAOA are editing the article themselves and making it read like a brochure written by their PR department. Hopefully if they are notified that this is not acceptable practice here they will stop. -- SiobhanHansa 17:24, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Current issues
editThis article really needs some independent sources. At the moment the only sources of information are UCAOA's own website and a PR release from a partner organization. If editors know of any independent newspaper or magazine articles they might make very useful resources to help develop the article.
This article also appears to have been edited by staff of UCAOA. Given the style of changes and the username, I believe these edits were made by Lou Ellen Howritz UCAOA's executive director. Any staff of UCAOA or related organizations should take a look at our guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest as well as our policy on not being a platform for promotion and our guidelines adding external links to sites you are connected to. -- SiobhanHansa 17:24, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
