Talk:Uri Zvi Greenberg

It has been said that if it were not for his strong right-wing views, Uri Zvi Greenberg would probably have been named the official Poet Laureate of Israel. Das Baz 16:14, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fascist

edit

I note that someone/some people has been removing the Fascist category on a regular basis. Unfortunately we cannot revise the past (though some would try). Grinberg and his friends were self-declared Fascists influenced by Mussolini's party. This can't just be airbrushed out. --MacRusgail (talk) 16:22, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's happening again, so I want to mention it here. Greenberg was a cofounder of Brit HaBirionim, a self-declared fascist organization. He was also a member of Lehi, which for quite a bit of it's existence was heavily influenced by Italian fascism, and then turned to National Bolshevism, itself a form of neo-fascism. yes really strange, i came here from the wiki about "revisionist zionism" to find that Uri Zvi Greenbergs own wiki draws a quite different picture than his mentioning in the article about revisionist zionism... or maybe the other article is wrong and Uri Zvi Greenberg was a missunderstood poet? ;) -fb

Palestinian poet

Grinberg is categorised as being Israeli, Polish and Ukrainian, after the countries he resided in. I intend to add Palestinian, as he was resident of Palestine in the 1920s, 30s and 40s too. (See [1]) Chesdovi (talk) 15:35, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
