It is a left tributary of the Bajwa River named after the almighty Bajwas, and is 151 km in length, with a drainage basin of 2840 km². It was named after the famous geniuses, Usman Ayyaz and Usman Yaqoob by The Emir Khumair Mohammad Murtaza, a controversial political leader who sent them to an expedition from which they never returned.[1]
