editthere's a bad redirect here from the movie title "the other" to a page discussing "the other" as a philisophical concept. I tried to edit this and realized I'm not sure how to change a redirect.
- I changed the link from The Other to The Other (movie) (which I don't think there's an article on yet). Angela. 00:44, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)

editI removed some very gushy sentences; they were totally inappropriate for an encyclopedia. 03 September 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.152.136.200 (talk)
I put those "gushy" sentences in. Some may have been simply gushy, I admit, however, I think there must be a way to describe the personality and characteristics of an actor or actress so readers will have an understanding of those qualities. Her deep voice, her quality of self-assurance...these identify her, just as the brittle chatter and athletic beauty of Katharine Hepburn inform her performances, just as Bette Davis' piercing tone, rapid speech and dry wit distinguish her. I was trying to write things that would give a feel for her presence onstage and, later in the article, for how her vocal approach to Martha differed from Elizabeth Taylor's. I didn't mean to be gushy, but I am interested in finding a way to describe the "flavor" of an individual performer. Thanks.----

editThe recent edit removing the award from the intro line is in line with standard practice on Wikipedia and shouldn't be reinstated. It's enough to mention awards/nominations in the article. DionysosProteus (talk) 02:37, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
